Crashing Bug! Inserting Text

Hello!
Whenever I add text, usually with 2 consecutive letters Curve crashes unexpectidly.
Its rather frustrating as I have no workaround at the moment.
Workarounds or fixes appreciated.

Note: Using an M1 Mac - Fresh install
